A Journey Interrupted
Ying Liu's inspiring journey across the Americas began on April 25th, 2023 when she flew from China to the United States. With a spirit of adventure, she purchased a motorcycle in Arizona and embarked on an epic ride to Alaska. Ying conquered the Dalton Highway to Deadhorse, the northeasternmost point of North America, and the Dempster Highway to the Arctic Ocean. Her grand plan was to ride all the way south to Ushuaia, the southernmost tip of South America.

However, on May 3, her journey was abruptly interrupted when her motorcycle was stolen from in front of her hostel. Despite the shock and frustration, Ying's resilience shone through. She did not let this incident derail her entire trip.

Despite having extensive information about the suspect, the police were unable to assist further.
Finding Solace in Diving
Amidst this turmoil, Ying decided not to let the thieves ruin her trip. She turned to the activity she originally came to Tulum for: cenote diving. After discovering La Calypso Dive Center on Google Maps, she contacted us via WhatsApp and arranged her dives in cenotes Pit and Dos Ojos as she was an advanced certified diver.
